Sun-sensing butterflies

The installation “Sun-sensing butterflies” uses the play of light and shadow. The work reveals the artist’s fascination with passing time. Colorful butterflies cast the shadows of their wings onto the concrete wall, located on a flower meadow in the gardens of Forum Gdansk in Poland. The size and shape of the shadows vary, depending on the hours and season.

The image comes alive with the rising sun as the shadows travel across the wall. The installation introduces an element of surprise and intrigue, inviting the passers-by to observe the changing details in our surroundings.
