About Intersections

We are happy to introduce – Intersections. Urban installations where conversation and fun come together. Intersections are created with a modular system of geometric shapes that can be freely rearranged. Each element slides into the other creating an interwave-like pattern of color and form.

Intersections on Kongens Nytorv

Intersections “Emerging Geometry” created an urban gathering spot in the center of Copenhagen, on Kongens Nytorv  (The King’s New Square), the largest square in Copenhagen. This unique city street furniture could be found just opposite the Hotel d’Angleterre and was commissioned by Metro Copenhagen within the Byens Hegn – Cool Construction program. After Shadow City (2013) and Stairway (2015), this is the third project by Izabela Boloz that has been commissioned as part of this city project.

Interactive seating

Intersections create city street furniture which inspires spontaneous interaction and positively contributes to placemaking in the city. Intersections create friendly and uplifting urban gathering spots which draw in and captivate people for all sorts of activities. Thanks to different shapes and modules, visitors feel encouraged to explore different uses for the installation. It takes no more than 5 minutes for busy professionals, inner-city dwellers or pensioners to start intuitively enjoying the many relaxing positions the Intersections offer in a public space.

Intersections for public spaces are produced on request in communication with the client, they are made out of powder-coated steel or stainless steel in the RAL color palette.
