About Intersections
We are happy to introduce – Intersections. Urban installations where conversation and fun come together. Intersections are created with a modular system of geometric shapes that can be freely rearranged. Each element slides into the other creating an interwave-like pattern of color and form.
This geometric urban bench design provides versatile functionality for both outdoor and indoor spaces. Those functions naturally intersect with each other, creating a unique interaction between users, spaces and objects. Whether it is a park, public square in a city center, Intersections create unique spaces for visitors.
Intersections at Eindhoven Airport
Intersections have been placed at Eindhoven Airport as a pop-up public space installation during the Dutch Design Week 2014. The interlocking modules of this street furniture form flexible seating for members of the public to sit, recline or climb on. Intersections is not only a clever urban bench design but a multi-functional space where the user can decide whether to meet and talk, sit and rest or climb and play. The system’s flexible nature means that the modules can be arranged differently to suit the location, and the various module shapes mean it can be used for a number of purposes that the users can define for themselves.
Intersections for public spaces are produced on request in communication with the client, they are made out of wood or steel.
