The exhibition showcases works created by students from the Brno University of Technology and Warsaw’s School of Form. Through lectures, workshops, and field research, the participants studied the unique spatial and social elements of Praga-Północ. Their projects, organized into four thematic areas—social activation, functional design, landscape interventions, and spatial structures—respond to both the challenges and opportunities of this historically rich neighborhood.
The “Echoes of Praga” exhibition presents the outcomes of an international project focused on exploring the potential of Warsaw’s Praga-Północ district. With a new pedestrian and cyclist bridge soon connecting this area to the historic center, the exhibition examines the complexities of urban transformation, addressing concerns of gentrification and the need to maintain the district’s authentic character.
The curatorial team included Studio BOLOZ, Monika Konrad, Martyna Obarska, and Karin Pisarikova, whose collective expertise in design, architecture, and urban studies shaped the exhibition’s approach. In addition to physical projects, the exhibition features a sound map of Praga-Północ, capturing the ambient noises and community interactions that define the district. Part of the broader C40 Green and Thriving Neighbourhoods initiative, the exhibition also reflects on how these models of urban development could be applied to other Central European cities undergoing similar transformations.
