Waiting Spot is a site-specific installation created to mark the waiting area for MINI Design Rides – free taxis cruising around the city of Eindhoven during the Dutch Design Week. Visible from a distance, this cheerful blue installation guides people to the taxi stop, turning waiting into a positive experience.
A Blue field of color marks the waiting area and is very intuitive – visitors spontaneously form the queue.
The concept of car tire tracks is designed especially for this installation.
Upon closer inspection, the pattern in the tracks spells out the word MINI; a clever way of communicating the brand sponsoring these special taxis.
